What are the Eurovision National Selections?
Each year, the countries taking part in Eurovision can choose their representative in two ways: either via an internal selection, where the broadcaster selects the artist directly, or via national selections.
The Eurovision national selections are competitions organised by broadcasters, generally between November and March, where several artists present their songs. The public, a jury or professionals then vote to choose the candidate and the song that will represent the country at the contest.
