Dara wins Eurovision 2026: Bulgaria causes a surprise in Vienna

No one really saw it coming. Not the specialist journalists. Not the bookmakers. Not us. And yet.

Saturday evening at the Wiener Stadthalle, Dara secured Bulgaria's first ever Eurovision victory with Bangarang, 516 points in total, finishing first with both the jury vote and the public vote.

As last year, the final lived up to all expectations in terms of suspense. Right to the end, Israel applied pressure and Noam Bettan (« Michelle«) finishes second with 343 points. A sense of déjà vu since Basel last year.
