From Serr\u00e8s to Vienna, the longest way<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Akylas Mytilinaios is 27 years old and comes from Serres, in northern Greece. After music school, he obtained a culinary diploma, worked in catering, and then spent two years singing on cruise ships. In 2022, he participated in The Voice of Greece. In 2024, he released Studio<\/em>, his first real hit. In February 2026, he won Sing for Greece<\/a> and collapses in tears on stage. We already knew we had a candidate unlike any other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On first listen, it\u2019s the standout track among the other songs featured on *Sing 4 Greece*. A joke entry in all but name, built around a catchy hook \u2013 \u00abFerto \u00bb\u201d \u2013 which rattles off a shopping list: real estate, sashimi tuna, gold coins, rally cars, yachting under the stars.<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then comes the sung bridge. The one that shows that under the joke entry, there is a voice. That of a big kid talking to his mother, telling her: Everything we've missed, I'll give it to you, houses, cars, holiday homes. If I win.<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The production plays precisely on this duality: the surface is festive, almost chaotic, but the architecture is restrained. The video extends the metaphor with Akylas embodied as a video game character progressing level by level through Greek landscapes. The form is playful. The content speaks of voids we seek to fill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u00ab"If I win \u00bb"<\/em>, ...it changes everything. It's no longer arrogance. It's the precise dream of a kid who grew up lacking and transformed that lack into fuel. And it's touching in its tenderness and authenticity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What if it was him?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

\u00abFerto \u00bb is a fun, absurd fa\u00e7ade. Some will see it and won\u2019t look beyond it. Beneath the surface, there is a much more lucid take on a generation growing up amidst a fast-paced world and a sense of deprivation. The real risk is that the spectacle will overshadow the message. But everything about Akylas\u2019s career suggests that he knows exactly what he\u2019s doing.\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abFerto \u00ab is the sort of entry that divides opinion in the early stages but could turn everything on its head in the final. Yet beneath those cat-like ears, Ferto \u00bb conceals a fierce social message, delivered by a profoundly humble artist. We were all moved by Akylas on the night of his victory in Sing 4 Greece, bursting into tears in her mother's arms <\/a>Who was in the room. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The televote loves true stories and authentic artists. Akylas ticks all the boxes. With this contagious energy, between 8-bit folklore and impeccable vocal bridge, Akylas could well get close to the top 5 in Vienna!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
