Late at night, with eyes red from fatigue, at the end of an incredible FiK 64, Albania chose its representative for Eurovision 2026. It is Alis who will have the honour of succeeding Shkodra Elektronike, who represented his country magnificently with a very good 8th place finish in Basel this year.

A la première écoute, on a immédiatement senti que Nan se démarquait avec une vibe épique, cinématographique, et qui porte un texte d’une grande émotion sur l’exil et l’attente d’une mère. Un sujet universel qui résonne toujours fort dans les compositions albanaises.
A big challenge after Basel
The bar is set very high this year. Succeeding Shkodra Elektronike n’est pas une mince affaire. Mais Alis possède ce « truc » en plus, cette présence magnétique qui pourrait bien permettre à l’Albanie de se positionner à nouveau dans le haut du tableau en mai prochain.

L’Albanie est la première nation à dégainer sa chanson pour la nouvelle saison. Si l’on connaît déjà le nom d’Antigoni pour Chypre, c’est bien Tirana qui nous offre le tout premier titre à ajouter à notre playlist Eurovision 2026.
