Eurovision 2025: who are the new conductors?
With the competition barely over, theEurovision 2025 is being prepared behind the scenes. Swiss broadcaster SRG SSR has unveiled its two headliners: Reto Peritz of SRF and Moritz Stadler of RTS, two big names in Swiss television, will take the reins of Eurovision 2025 as Executive Producers.
Reto Peritz, 51, is currently Head of Entertainment at SRF, one of Switzerland's leading public television channels. He knows the inner workings of Eurovision quite well, having served as head of the Swiss delegation and as a member of the Eurovision Reference Group from 2019 to 2021, a committee that plays a key role in the supervision and strategic management of the competition.
Moritz Stadler is currently Head of Operations at RTS (Radio Télévision Suisse). He worked for many years at the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the umbrella organisation of Eurovision, which also gives him a good knowledge of how to manage an organisation of this scale!
Both men will continue in their current roles, but will be replaced until June 2025 to devote themselves fully to Eurovision.
The next steps for the organising committee will be to hold discussions with potential host cities to determine who will host the competition next May.
