Austria to organise a national selection from 2026!
In a few days' time, we'll finally know which city has been chosen to host Eurovision 2026, but it's a completely different story that has come from ORF. The Austrian national broadcaster is currently considering the selection method for next year.
Whereas JJ with Wasted Love chosen by an internal selection process in 2025, Austria has announced, through Stefanie Groiss-Horowitz, Director of Programming at ORF, the return in 2026 of a national selection process with strong public involvement.
We still don't know much about the show, but this evening should also be accompanied by several documentaries on Eurovision.
In 2026, Austria seems determined to make its mark. The last Austrian national selection dates back to 2016 with the "Wer singt für Österreich? » format, which saw the emergence of Zoe with "Loin d'ici ».
