A direct sequel to 2024: Mileo confirms that Frankenstein is an extension of You’re mine. It is a direct response to the media coverage and the criticism that surrounded him last year. «It’s my take on everything that happened back then,” he explains, using the metaphor of a monster to regain control of his image.
A title tailor-made for the MGP: Unlike «You’re mine », Frankenstein was written specifically for the Melodi Grand Prix. Mileo hadn’t planned on returning, but when the opportunity arose, he thought that, given the previous controversy, he now had «something to say ».
An even crazier staging? Mileo promises to have pushed the boundaries even further. «There’ll be things in the show that’ll make you say: ‘Oh, that’s so cool' »,” he teases with that mischievous smile of his.
Our opinion: Mileo isn’t here to please everyone at any cost, and that’s his greatest strength. He embraces his «naughty pop’ style, which is both endearing and offbeat, and his dark, quirky humour. He’s probably just the maverick Norway (and Eurovision!) needs to think outside the box this year!
