This year, we were lucky enough to experience an exceptional moment by taking part in the Turquoise Carpet which marked the start of Eurovision week in Basel. In perfect sunshine, the parade set off from the Town Hall, where each of the artists entered vintage trams, to travel 1km through the streets of Basel to the Eurovision Village, all to the joy, songs and applause of the crowd.
Between each tram, local music groups, brass bands, associations and fans. And on the sides of the route, a huge, festive crowd!
