Full list of countries taking part in Eurovision 2025

Note: The "Big Five" (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom) and Switzerland, as host country, automatically qualify for the final. The other countries will have to go through to the semi-finals on 13 and 15 May.

Eurovision 2025 newcomers and notable returnees

Eurovision 2025 was marked by a long-awaited return: Montenegro. After an absence of several years, it was the singer Nina Žižićwho is already well known to fans of the competition and who will be representing the country this year, after the first mini-drama of the season. Other recently-returned countries, such as Luxembourg, are confirming their desire to establish a long-term presence at Eurovision.

Absent countries and withdrawals in 2025

This year has been marked by countless withdrawals and eliminations of artists during the pre-season for the national selections (🇦🇱 Olsi Bylyku, 🇭🇷 LSQ feat. Lara, Natalie Balmix , 🇫🇮 One Morning Left, 🇬🇷 Salina Gavala and Tsiak, 🇮🇱 Benny Elbaz, 🇱🇹 Evelina Gancewska , Austėja Lukaitė, 🇲🇩 Eblansh Band, Valleria, Anna G, Dan Alexandrov, 🇲🇹 Alexandra Alden , 🇲🇪 Boban Rajović , 🇳🇴 Angelina Jordan, Lavrans Svendsen, 🇵🇱 Sara James, 🇷🇸 Buč Kesidi, Dram, 🇺🇦 Teslenko) and 🇲🇪 NeonoeN (replaced by Nina Žižić).
